This is so easy. I found it a few months ago on my new BFF, pinterest. It’s one of those “Why didn’t I think of that” things.
If you have an apple slicer (I do- it’s pretty handy), use it. If not, you can just slice it with a knife. Wrap the apple tight with a rubberband, and when you or your child open it at lunch, they’ll have apple slices that aren’t brown, and theat you didn’t have to buy pre-packaged. If you’re feeling extra fancy, you can pack a little container of nut butter for dipping.
